Historic – Overview

Epsilon has extensive experience in assisting clients with historic preservation planning and compliance and architectural design review.  We are expert in interpreting Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Chapter 254 of the Massachusetts General Laws, Boston Landmark Commission review, and related municipal, state, and federal regulations and guidelines affecting historic resources.  Epsilon specializes in assisting clients and their design teams in meeting the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation to obtain certification for state and federal historic rehabilitation tax credits.  Signal projects have included the adaptive reuse of historic mill complexes and the redevelopment of historic campuses.  Epsilon also assists state transportation agencies in securing necessary project clearances for major transportation infrastructure projects across Massachusetts.  

Epsilon’s team of preservation professionals maintains strong professional relationships with the staff of the National Park Service, the Boston Landmarks Commission, the Massachusetts Historical Commission, and other New England State Historic Preservation Offices.
