Epsilon is assessing rare plant and animal species issues related to the development of a single 1.5 MW wind turbine at Jiminy Peak Ski Resort in the Berkshires. Jiminy Peak Ski Resort has received funding for the Project from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. Epsilon is reviewing existing information and conducting a walkover survey to evaluate the potential for rare species habitat within a 50 acres study corridor which includes the access road and turbine site. This information will provide Jiminy Peak with an assessment of the project’s potential impacts on rare species.

Epsilon is providing technical support for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for a nominal 75 MW wind farm proposed west of Lake Keuka in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. Epsilon is conducting a Groundwater Resource Assessment Study of the project area. The study requires a description of existing geology and groundwater conditions and an assessment of potential impacts from the construction of the wind turbine towers on groundwater and local drinking water supplies. The study will be submitted as part of the DEIS to NYSERDA, the lead reviewing agency for the project under SEQRA.

Epsilon provided permitting services to the Princeton Municipal Light Department (PMLD) for the proposed 3 MW wind project near Mount Wachusett. The project replaced eight aging wind turbine generators (WTGs) and install two 1.5 MW NEG Micon WTGs. The new WTGs will provide approximately 40% of the town's energy. Epsilon secured approval for the project under the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA). Epsilon also completed the federal permitting associated with a USDA construction grant in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
