Epsilon Associates has opportunity for a Staff-Level Acoustical Engineer/Scientist

Epsilon Associates, a highly regarded mid-size engineering and environmental consulting firm based in Maynard, MA, is seeking a staff-level acoustical engineer or acoustical scientist to work as part of the Epsilon team on a wide range of environmental licensing, permitting and compliance projects.  The successful candidate will be responsible for community sound level measurement programs, data analysis, noise propagation modeling, noise barrier modeling, analysis of mitigation measures and report preparation.  This position requires regular field work as well as frequent overnight, out-of-state travel.

The ideal candidate will have:

1)   3-5 years of experience in a consulting environment;

2)   B.S. in Acoustics, Engineering, Engineering Science, or Physics,

3)   Superior written and verbal communication skills; and

4)   Ability to work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary project team. 

The successful applicant will also have strong organizational skills and good attention to detail.  Expected computer skills include facility with MS Word and MS Excel, as well as a working familiarity with AutoCAD.  Experience in the energy industry, wind industry, materials handling business, and with the FHWA TNM model and the Cadna/A model is a plus.
