Epsilon is Pleased to Announce our Newest Principal — Maria Hartnett
July 20, 2018
We are excited to announce the recent promotion of Maria Hartnett as the newest Principal of Epsilon Associates! As a privately held entity transitioning ownership to the next generation is essential to the company’s vision and growth. Maria will take a more active role in the leadership and management of the firm helping to shape the firm’s strategy. She has more than 18 years of consulting experience and we are confident that her proven consulting skills, her energy, her people skills and her judgment will make her a key player in Epsilon’s success going forward.
Maria has led a number of successful and well-known coastal projects throughout the years. This includes leading the Siasconset Emergency Geotextile Tube Stabilization Project, which is providing immediate protection for a Town-owned road and private residences that were in imminent danger of being lost due to severe erosion. Major projects in the water for Maria include permit applications, and sediment and water sampling programs for the Weaver’s Cove LNG import terminal in Fall River, Fore River Bridge replacement project, and a submarine cable project in Boston Harbor.
Of most recent note, Maria is managing the federal permitting for the 800 MW Vineyard Wind project proposed from an offshore lease area in federal waters to an interconnection point in Barnstable. Maria is managing the preparation of a Construction and Operations Plan (COP) for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Section 106 consultation, and preparation of a US Army Corps of Engineers permit application. To prepare the COP, Maria oversaw resource characterization and impact assessment for physical, biological, and socioeconomic resources and managed several modeling efforts (including sediment dispersion and oil spill trajectory modeling). This has been an enormous commitment, managing multiple personnel, and intense deadlines.
