As a founding member of Epsilon, Dale helped shape the firm from its earliest days into one of New England’s leading environmental consulting firms. Since Epsilon’s founding in 1997, he has played a central role in building the firm’s Environmental Engineering and Air Quality practices and helping clients address complex environmental challenges.

Over the course of his 45 year career, Dale developed practical and effective strategies for addressing air quality, permitting, and environmental compliance challenges across industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects. His expertise in air quality engineering, environmental permitting and licensing, regulatory compliance, odor and noise control, and environmental impact assessment made him a trusted advisor to clients throughout New England and beyond.

Dale led permitting efforts and provided air quality engineering support for many of the region’s most significant energy projects. Known for his practical approach, technical rigor, and strong understanding of environmental regulations, he helped clients navigate complex permitting processes, advance critical infrastructure projects, and meet evolving compliance requirements.

  • Palmer Renewable Energy’s proposed 38 MW C&D Wood and Green Wood Renewable Energy facility.

  • Odor control projects for Kettle Cuisine, Newark America, Key Polymer, and many others.

His work has helped support reliable energy infrastructure, economic development, and responsible environmental stewardship across the region. His contributions have been significant, yet he has consistently approached his work with humility, professionalism, and a willingness to share his knowledge with others. Reflecting on his career, Dale shares:

“For nearly three decades, I have had the privilege of helping build Epsilon while contributing to some of the most interesting and rewarding projects of my career. Along the way, I have been fortunate to work with talented clients, colleagues, and industry professionals who challenged me, supported me, and made the work enjoyable. The projects were memorable, but the people made the experience meaningful. It has been a wonderful journey, and now it is time to retire.”

Beyond his technical leadership, Dale has been a mentor, trusted advisor, and steady source of guidance for colleagues and clients. Throughout his career at Epsilon, he has exemplified technical excellence, integrity, collaboration, and thoughtful leadership.  And he shared that leadership beyond Epsilon’s doors, with more than 30 presentations at industry conferences and a long tenure as treasurer at the Northeast Energy and Commerce Association (NECA).

“Dale provided so much inspiration and he’s been such a great example for how to be a great consultant. He would tackle every challenge with our client’s success as his top priority. He’d often find our clients a new path – technical or regulatory – to get them where they wanted to be, and he gave unflinching advice to help them make good decisions.” – A.J. Jablonowski

As Dale begins his next chapter, Epsilon extends its heartfelt gratitude for his leadership, friendship, and many years of dedication. His contributions have helped shape the firm into what it is today, and his knowledge, experience, and steady guidance have made a lasting impact on colleagues, clients, and the organization as a whole.
