EVENT RECAP: WINDPOWER 2014
May 13, 2014
Epsilon returned as an exhibitor to the American Wind Energy Association
(AWEA) WINDPOWER Conference, which took place in early May in Las Vegas.
The conference provided a great opportunity for networking events and informative conference sessions.
The conference began with an opening session featuring Tom Kiernan, Chief Executive Officer, AWEA, who provided information on the current state of the wind energy industry. During Wednesday’s opening general session, David Danielson, who leads the DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, made an exciting announcement by naming the three winning recipients to receive funding for offshore wind energy projects. The projects – located off the coast of New Jersey, Oregon and Virginia – will receive up to $47 million each over the next four years and help speed the deployment of more efficient offshore wind power technologies.
As always, this was a great event and we were pleased to connect with current clients, learn about new projects, and network with potential new clients. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn about Epsilon’s wind-related services.
