Karen Gilbert Joins Epsilon’s Coastal & Marine Practice
January 15, 2014
Epsilon Associates is excited to welcome Karen Gilbert as a Staff Scientist within our Coastal & Marine team. Karen recently graduated from Smith College, earning her B.A. degree in Geoscience with a minor in Marine Science and Policy. In 2012, she participated in the Williams-Mystic Maritime Studies Program in Mystic, Connecticut, which is an academic and research semester focused on the sea. She also worked at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Applied Ecology and Restoration Research Branch in Beaufort, North Carolina tracking changes of North Carolina seagrass populations, as well as the NOAA Northeast Fisheries Center in Narragansett, Rhode Island, where she conducted research on Atlantic herring larvae and otoliths. Her coastal experience makes her a great fit to support our coastal and marine permitting projects.
