Epsilon Principal Rob O’Neal and Senior Consultant Bob Hellweg both presented during the Institute of Noise Control Engineering’s NOISE-CON 2014 Conference. This year’s conference was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on September 8 through September 10 and was well attended by noise specialists from around the world. Rob O’Neal presented “Wind Energy Sound Monitoring Under High Shear Conditions,” which discussed post-construction sound level compliance measurements taken at a wind farm in the Midwest. Bob Hellweg spoke during the George Maling Tribute Session about George Maling’s contributions to America’s Noise Standards Program, and noise control engineering in general. As a newly elected Director, Rob also participated in the INCE Board of Directors meeting which preceded NOISE-CON 2014.
