New Sponsorship: IDEA2015
April 16, 2015
This year the International District Energy Association will
host their Annual Conference & Trade Show in Boston,
Massachusetts. Epsilon is excited to be a part of the
conference and proud to be a Franklin sponsor of the event,
along with our clients MATEP and Veolia. Epsilon is
sponsoring the Longwood Medical Area Total Energy Plant (MATEP) tour—one of the four technical tours being offered on the final day of the conference. This year’s conference will explore best practices for developing, owning and operating district energy systems, combined heat and power (CHP) facilities and microgrids in cities.
Epsilon Principals Dale Raczynski and A.J. Jablonowski will be presenting during the event. Dale is one of the speakers presenting during a workshop being held on Saturday, June 27th. The workshop will cover best practices in emergency preparedness, operational resiliency and design guidance on the functionality of district energy, CHP and microgrids. Dale’s session is titled: Environmental Permitting of CHP & District Energy: Lessons Learned and Lead Times.
AJ will be presenting on Tuesday, June 30th during the Policy, Permits & Regulation session. His presentation, Air Permitting Case Study: Harvard’s CHP Expansion, will cover details on Harvard University’s expansion of its combined heat and power facility at the Blackstone Steam Plant in Cambridge. Epsilon has been an integral part of this project providing air quality services, historic resources review, and noise monitoring and modeling and is looking forward to sharing details of the success of this expansion project.
