EVENT RECAP: WINDPOWER 2015
May 28, 2015
It is hard to believe that another American Wind Energy Association (AWEA)
WINDPOWER Conference has come to an end. The conference provided
another great opportunity to learn about the wind industry and meet with colleagues and clients – this time in sunny Orlando, Florida.
For Epsilon, the conference began on Monday, May 18th with the opening reception taking place in the exhibit hall. The following day began with the opening general session where Tom Kiernan, Chief Executive Officer of AWEA, provided information on the current state of the wind energy industry. Attendees also had the benefit of listening to the U.S. Secretary of Energy, Dr. Ernest Moniz, where he announced the release of Enabling Wind Power Nationwide. The report details how the U.S. can utilize technological advancements in order for all 50 states to access wind energy.
On Wednesday evening, Senior Consultant Rich Lampeter had the opportunity to present a poster during the poster session. His poster covered how to address post-construction sound level measurement requirements as they relate to wind turbines. Click here to see a copy of Rich's poster.
Overall, it was another great event! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn about Epsilon’s wind-related services.
