Connect With Epsilon at MACC’s Annual Environmental Conference 2017
January 31, 2017
Epsilon is sponsoring, attending and speaking at the MACC Annual Environmental Conference 2017 being held on March 4 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. The one-day conference includes 24 workshops that will provide timely updates and expert insights on environmental laws, regulations, policies, procedures and technologies that are important for natural resources protection and for the work of conservation commissions throughout Massachusetts.
In conjunction with MassDEP, Mike Howard (Epsilon Principal and MACC First Vice President) will be conducting a workshop on solar arrays and wetlands permitting issues and implications for local conservation commissions to consider. This workshop will provide an overview, examples, case studies and a discussion of the MassDEP Wetlands Regulatory and Program position about this emerging topic including how such work might be evaluated in a Notice of Intent filing and conditioned through an Order of Conditions.
Principal Dwight Dunk will be speaking during the Reviewing Wetland Mitigation Plans workshop, which will cover the construction of successful mitigation sites. The goal of this workshop is to provide guidance to conservation commissions on basics of wetland replication, reading wetland mitigation plans, and in writing effective and enforceable conditions to yield successful replication areas.
