Simon Hildt has joined Epsilon’s Energy Services Practice as a Senior Scientist. With nearly 20 years of experience in natural resource science and environmental licensing and permitting, Simon brings a wealth of expertise, particularly in energy-related projects.

Having spent the past several years managing complex electric transmission and distribution projects, Simon is well-versed in navigating regulatory challenges and advancing critical infrastructure. His passion for renewable energy aligns perfectly with Epsilon’s mission, and he’s eager to contribute to our offshore wind, transmission and distribution, and battery energy storage initiatives.

Maya Pope has joined Epsilon’s Energy Services Practice as a Staff Scientist. She holds a degree in Natural Resource Conservation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has spent the past several years working as a wetland scientist, specializing in ecological surveys and environmental permitting.

In her role at Epsilon, Maya supports environmental permitting and compliance for energy-related projects, including electric transmission, natural gas, battery energy storage, and onshore wind and solar. Her expertise includes leading vegetation surveys, wetland delineations, wildlife habitat assessments, and the development of federal and state permit applications.

Luka Koziol has joined Epsilon’s Energy Services Practice as a Staff Scientist in our Albany, New York office. He holds a degree in Environmental Science with a focus on Terrestrial Ecology and Biology from the State University of New York at Brockport.

Luka specializes in environmental permitting, natural resource management, and compliance for energy-focused projects. His technical expertise includes the use of advanced field equipment, such as multiparameter data loggers, GPS units, and soil analysis tools, along with strong plant identification skills specific to the Northeastern U.S. At Epsilon, he supports renewable energy development and transmission projects across New York, combining fieldwork with permit application preparation and project development to drive successful outcomes in sustainable energy.
