Epsilon is pleased to announce the promotion of two of our Principals, Marc Bergeron and Rich Lampeter, INCE, to the role of Managing Principal. They join Mike Howard, who has served in this capacity since 2020, to form a collaborative trio that will shape the future of Epsilon Associates.
The newly formed Epsilon Managing Principal Team will be focused on maintaining the elements of the business that have proven successful throughout Epsilon’s 28 years of operation as well as developing and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure that the company continues to be innovative and evolve with industry trends. Epsilon’s Managing Principals will continue to be closely supported by the broader Principal Team to ensure the advancement of Epsilon’s corporate vision which is to be a leader in the environmental consulting industry by serving as effective advocates for our clients, providing high quality professional services in a cost-effective manner, finding solutions that balance our client’s goals with environmental stewardship, and by supporting our employees professional growth and development.
Marc and Rich were chosen as Managing Principals for their demonstrated leadership, long-standing contributions to the firm, and deep expertise in their respective practice areas. They are deeply committed to and constantly exhibit the core principles that guide Epsilon’s corporate vision including; integrity, excellence, respect, teamwork, and dedication to our clients and our employees. Marc Bergeron
With three decades of environmental consulting experience, Marc brings exceptional technical depth, management experience, and leadership abilities to his new role as Managing Principal. Since joining Epsilon in 2018, he has led complex, multi-disciplinary projects across the Northeast – developing permitting strategies, coordinating scope and fee proposals, managing teams, and navigating the regulatory landscape with ease. He has also been instrumental in growing the company’s energy practice group and has played key roles in developing and advancing company-wide business development, employee engagement, and professional development initiatives.
His technical background is in wetland/ecological sciences and permitting. Over the last 20 years of his career he has expertly guided clients in the energy industry through complex siting and permitting of traditional and renewable energy facilities, including electric transmission lines, pipelines, and power generation facilities. Known for his thoughtful leadership and long-standing client relationships, he has a strong understanding of how a professional services firm is run and is a proven strategist in business development and market positioning with a strong ability to build successful teams. Marc will continue to shape Epsilon’s future by focusing on the company’s operations and engaging and guiding staff, supporting strategic initiatives, and helping deliver successful outcomes for our clients.


Rich Lampeter, INCE
With more than 20 years of experience in environmental acoustics, Rich brings specialized expertise and a forward-thinking perspective to his new role as Managing Principal. Since joining Epsilon, he has led and contributed to hundreds of sound studies across the country, helping communities and developers understand the impacts of sound from energy and industrial projects.
Rich is nationally recognized for his work on community sound level impact assessments, particularly in the renewable energy sector. Since 2004, he has provided acoustical consulting for more than 90 onshore wind energy projects. He has also applied his sound modeling and measurement expertise to solar and battery energy storage projects, commercial and industrial facilities, and other complex developments.
Known for his technical accuracy, thoughtful communication, and trusted presence at public meetings, Rich often presents findings to local boards and regulatory agencies and has served as an expert witness in permitting proceedings. His knowledge of acoustic modeling tools, noise control strategies, and field instrumentation, makes him a valuable asset across all project phases. Moving forward, Rich will continue as a subject matter expert in acoustics while handling additional finance responsibilities as a Managing Principal.
