Congratulations to the Martha's Vineyard Hybrid Submarine Cable Project Team
June 13, 2013
On June 12th, the Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC) held its 23rd Annual Meeting and 20th EBEE Awards Celebration. The event recognizes companies, organizations, and individuals for outstanding accomplishments in the promotion of a sustainable, clean environment. Epsilon was proud to sponsor the dinner and acknowledge all of the 2013 EBEE award recipients for their impressive accomplishments. It was a great evening featuring opening remarks from Epsilon’s Managing Principal and Chair of the EBC Board, Peggy Briggs, as well as the City of Boston’s Mayor, Thomas Menino, who received the EBC Paul G. Keough Environmental - Energy Award for Government Service.
We were also excited to be among the award recipients and would like to congratulate Epsilon Principal Les Smith along with representatives from Comcast, NSTAR Electric Company, Power Engineers, LLC, and the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management. Together, they received the EBC Nicholas Humber Environmental - Energy Award for Outstanding Collaboration for their joint effort on the Martha's Vineyard Hybrid Submarine Cable Project. This is one of the first projects to go through permitting under the new state Ocean Management Plan.
There is video footage available of the EBC EBEE Awards Celebration provided by Mayor Menino.
