Epsilon Associates, a strategic environmental permitting, consulting and engineering firm based in Maynard, Massachusetts, is seeking an entry-level or mid-level Environmental Planner.

This position’s primary duties will be to research and prepare environmental review documents for agency and public review under the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act, Boston’s Article 80 regulations (i.e., City environmental review) and the Massachusetts Waterways Regulations (Chapter 91).
The position will include assisting project managers in the preparation of environmental regulatory review documents, working with other Epsilon staff to coordinate environmental analyses, as well as attendance at client and agency meetings.
Important areas of knowledge and interest may include urban planning, sustainable development, greenhouse gas emissions, and climate change resiliency/adaptation.
The successful candidate will have a degree in environmental planning, environmental science, urban planning, or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred, but not required. Knowledge and working experience with local, state or federal environmental laws, regulations, and policies is also desirable. This position requires the ability to work cooperatively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as well as problem solving, and attention to detail.
