Published: Air Quality Team’s Article in Journal of the Air & Waste Management Association
June 20, 2013
In June 2013, Epsilon Senior Consultants Elizabeth Hendrick and Vincent Tino, along with Steve Hanna from Hanna Consultants and Bruce Egan from Egan Environmental Inc., had their paper published in the Journal of the Air & Waste Management Association. The paper, titled Evaluation of NO2 predictions by the plume volume molar ratio method (PVMRM) and ozone limiting method (OLM) in AERMOD using new field observations, starts with a review of the plume volume molar ratio method (PVMRM) and the ozone limiting method (OLM). It also points out some scientific parameterizations that could be improved (such as specification of relative dispersion coefficients) and includes an evaluation of the PVMRM and OLM methods as implemented in AERMOD using a new data set. This study was sponsored by the American Petroleum Institute.
