Epsilon’s staff of ecologists have extensive experience guiding clients through the state and federal endangered species regulatory review and permitting processes. These services include natural resource inventories, habitat assessments, vegetation community mapping, rare species surveys, and rare species conservation permits.
We have a record of accomplishment for devising creative and successful mitigation results to compensate for unavoidable impacts. As is typical in most rare species surveys, we also map vegetation communities to understand the potential extent of unique and suitable protected species habitat. Following field studies, we then assess protected species habitat impact potentially caused by a project using sophisticated GIS and GPS mapping techniques. As the final step in the regulatory process when protected species impacts are unavoidable, we then work aggressively to negotiate favorable mitigation strategies and develop acceptable conservation management plans that permit projects to move forward in a timely manner.
