“It’s been an exciting year as we’ve solidified our presence in Albany and continued to support our valued clients across the region,” said Epsilon Co-Managing Principal Rob O’ Neal, CMM, INCE Bd Cert. “The office has enabled us to strengthen our relationships with New York power generation, transmission, and industry clients, some of whom we’ve partnered with since Epsilon’s founding in 1997.”

In the past year, the Albany team has been instrumental in advancing a wide range of environmental and energy projects, including offshore and land-based electric transmission assessment and permitting, utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) critical issue assessments and permitting, gas pipeline maintenance, and stormwater/construction compliance. The office has also provided specialized permitting support for commercial, institutional, industrial, and municipal facilities, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

“In addition to our energy and permitting services, we have continued growth plans to enhance our acoustics, air, ecological and planning services. “We are proud to be working in the Empire State” said Epsilon Principal, John Zimmer.

For over 25 years, Epsilon has guided project owners through complex permitting processes, ensuring timely and positive outcomes. Our staff have played a crucial role in supporting utility-scale power, independent power, and cogeneration projects across New York, offering services such as critical issue analysis, wetland delineation, site selection, routing analysis, expert witness testimony, and comprehensive environmental regulatory permitting.

Located on Washington Avenue Extension, just minutes from I-90 and I-87 and near the serene Pine Bush Preserve, our Albany office is well-positioned to continue its growth.
